Last Friday night, I spoke about the Jewish holiday of Tu B’Shevat, the New Year for the Trees. I focused my comments on the Jewish teaching that we humans are very much like the trees – and we can learn a lot from them. Any of us with children in our lives should take time to discover the lesson that the trees and even the squirrels have to share with us about parenting.
